How do Ecowoman pads work?
Ecowoman pads have an outer shell made of 100% soft cotton flannel. You simply place a liner inside the shell, fold the wings around the gusset of your knickers and do up the snap. The material absorbs your flow. Change as often as you would a disposable pad, then wash.

What are Ecowoman pads made from?

Ecowoman pads are made of soft flannel with hemp & cotton inserts.

Are Ecowoman pads sanitary?

Yes. Just like your underwear (which you don't throw away after each use) Ecowoman pads are easy to clean, dry and be ready for the next use.

Are Ecowoman pads comfortable?

Ecowoman pads are softer and more natural than synthetic products and allow for better circulation and comfort (no plastic or adhesive to stick to your pubes. Yeeouch!)

Will they slip out of place?
No. Ecowoman pads are designed with wings that snap around your underwear. The wings insure that the pad will not slip out of place or leak.

How long do they last?
Ecowoman pads will last for approximately 5 or more years. The average woman will spend around $600 on menstrual products during the span of 5 years. When you purchase cloth you eliminate last minute trips to the shop and save hundreds of dollars.

Do they leak?
No. Ecowoman pads are designed with wings for added protection. They are made from super absorbent cotton to prevent leakage. You can choose a liner to suit your flow and also add extra liners to adjust for heavy days or nights.

Can you wear Ecowoman pads while playing sports?
Sure. Many women use Ecowoman pads for a variety of activities and appreciate it's softness and flexibility.

How many Ecowoman pads will you need for each cycle?
This depends on your individual flow and how often you do your laundry. Every woman is different. The average number of pads used is between 10-15 per cycle. It all depends on you! You can start small and then build your collection as you need.

How often do you need to change them?

Change your Ecowoman pads as you would disposables. It all depends on your personal flow.

How do the hemp inserts work?

100% Hemp has four times the durability and absorption of cotton, so you can have a super absorbent pad, without the bulk. Hemp also has anti-bacterial and anti-fungal properties. It's an environmentally kind choice too - the growth of hemp has less impact on our environment, requires less water to grow than cotton, requires less labor, and hemp can be reproduced much faster than cotton. Although Cotton is less absorbent than hemp it does absorb quickly, so a cotton/hemp combination is great, as the cotton soaks it in quickly and then the hemp holds it in in large amounts. Hemp is a natural fibre. Hemp does take a long time to line dry. We recommend putting Hemp liners in the dryer once a month to soften them up as line drying can make them stiff.

How many Ecowoman pads should I buy?
This depends on your individual flow and how often you do your laundry. Every woman is different. The average number of pads used is between 10-15 per cycle. It all depends on you! You can start small and then build your collection as you need.

The shell is like a soft cloth envelope, into which the liner is placed.

What's an Ecowoman liner?

The liner is an extra-absorbent strip of cloth that is inserted into the cloth shell.
